CZS Lithium Property

Consolidated Spire Ventures Ltd. is a Canadian junior exploration company. Spire has received final acceptance by the Alberta Government for it’s recently acquired 100% mineral interest in 164,072 contiguous acres in an area prospective for lithium, located about 30kms south-southeast of Fox Creek, Alberta within the Devonian Leduc Formation.

Spire intends to initiate the review of historic oil and gas wells, and geologic data in preparation for a proposed sampling and analysis of formation waters. Lithium is hosted in oilfield brines lithium contained in basinal brines of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin compare favourably with the known lithium brine deposits in Nevada, which are currently in production.

A report by the Alberta Research Council in 1995 discusses the area as having potential for very large resources of Lithium within formation waters. The property acquired covers a large portion of the area deemed "Lithium bearing formation water by the government study. In the report, the Alberta Research Council provides a "historical resource estimate" of roughly 2.8 billion lbs. Li2O.

The estimated Lithium is experiencing rapidly increasing demand for use in technologically and environmentally beneficial applications, in particular, rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for use in hybrid and electric cars In the southern Leduc aquifer the potentially productive aquifer zone has an average thickness of 25 m, an average rock porosity of 6% and an average permeability of 2*10-14m2. In the Property area the potentially productive zone for the Leduc aquifer is located between about 3,100 and 3,400 m below surface.

The concentrations of Lithium in conjunction with numerous producing gas wells and other infrastructure near the Property, that are already producing significant amounts of formation waters from the targeted horizons indicate that significant potential exists in the Property to yield brines with Lithium.

Based upon the concentrations of Lithium in formation waters in the Leduc aquifers, further staged exploration is warranted for Lithium bearing brines underlying the Property.
